How to race
Accelerate, brake before the corner, turn in smoothly and stay inside the white lines — cutting a corner deletes the lap time, and a cut that gains a place must be given back. 2026 active aero: in the straight-mode zones (the green stretches on the minimap) hold Shift (two players: P1 Left Shift, P2 Right Shift; gamepad A) to open the rear wing for top speed; it closes when you brake or the zone ends. Cross the detection line within 1.0 s of the car ahead and you get Overtake: extra ERS energy for the next lap. ERS gives a power boost and recharges under braking. Pit with P (pit lane limit 80 km/h, 60 at Monaco). Hold until the five red lights go out — a jump start costs 5 seconds.
